The Iowa Department of Revenue provided their annual update, including a summary of the 2017 Legislative Session and information on electronic W-2/1099 reporting.
Speakers included:
- Matt Bishop - Matt joined the Iowa Department of Revenue in 2013 and is an attorney in the Legal Services Division. He provides guidance on a variety of income and excise tax issues, including the national Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement. He attended Drake University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 2000 and his law degree in in 2011. Prior to the Department of Revenue, Matt served as a law clerk for the Iowa District Court, Fifth Judicial District.
- Nicole Watson - Nicole is currently a manager in the Department’s Communications and Outreach Division. Nicole oversees the Taxpayer Services and Audit Services Sections. Nicole was previously a project manager in the Department’s Internal Services Division. Prior to joining the Department, Nicole worked for the State of Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division.
