Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation (CALT) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of those who utilize our TaxPlace web site. Our TaxPlace web site has been developed in accordance with this privacy statement and adheres to the following set of privacy principles:

  • CALT does not sell, share or distribute to third parties personal information collected through TaxPlace or other means. This information is exclusively used to conduct CALT business.
  •  Information obtained from the individual during the transaction may be matched against CALT records if necessary to ensure that the transaction is valid and/or to update CALT records if applicable.
  • CALT may release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law or protect the rights, property, or safety of CALT, our users, or others.

CALT will take necessary steps to verify the identity of those conducting e-commerce or other transactions. Certain areas of TaxPlace limit access to specific individuals through the use of a unique identifier and Password.

CALT is committed to ensuring the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we store in CALT systems.
